The future of the dental hygiene course concept came to me in 2020. I saw the opportunity to bring together the technologies and techniques that were emerging in advanced dental prevention. Salivary Diagnostics, Diode Laser Therapy, and Guided Biofilm Therapy.  I envisioned a two-day course where on day one the background begins with the oral-systemic connection to the best current clinical practices. Day two would be "hands on" and participants could actually use the devices in a clinical atmosphere so that they could decide which if any of the approaches were a fit for their current clinical situation.  It was a hit from the start. The vendors enjoy the extended time in small settings to better explain the use and benefits of their devices and the students rotate thru as many as 10 different disciples in one day. Each course has sold out well in advance so getting on the wait list here is encouraged. This course is based out of Lexington Kentucky and is a perfect venue for sightseeing and the breathtaking beauty of the bluegrass region.
